First off, let’s start with becoming a site writer. If you think you’re good enough to become a site writer, send Princess Zelda or me an e-mail with your story attached to it (please do state in the subject line that it is a submission to Tal'Kipach Risthan; it just might be confused for spam). We’ll be looking to see if the plot is good, but the main factor will be if you can spell properly and use proper grammar. So proofread your fanfics before you send them in! Odds are we’ll like your plot. So if we send you your fanfic back with a report of grammatical and spelling errors you should probably fix, please fix them. We do want you to share your fanfic at its best.
Next, subject matter for the fanfics. Nothing erotic. We’re not a dirty site. However, I am lenient with profanity. While I may be okay with it, I still don’t want every other sentence to have profanity in it. Personally, I use profanity to help emphasize a point or emotion. If you’re writing a character that has a foul mouth, okay, but it had better not be every single character.
Speaking of characters, if you’re going to bash one character, bash all of them. Everyone has flaws. Not just Tingle or Navi. If you’re going to send me a fanfic that bashes solely on either one of them, please let me know that you will eventually extend that good humor to other characters in the Zelda series.
Crossovers obviously count as fanfics. And I count it as a Zelda crossover if at least one character is a Zelda character or comes from Hyrule. Or if the setting is Hyrule, but none of the main characters are from the Zelda series. Of course, Hyrule extends to the other lands in the Zelda series.
Now for fanart. You don't have to be a writer to submit art. Just send us a sample of your artwork. I'll most likely just register you, and then you can post all the fanart you want.
Hmm, fanpoems. Well, grammar doesn't seem to have that much room in poetry, so if you're a poet type, send me a sample of your poetry. Again, odds are I'll like it, and you'll get a board to post your poetry on. Try to limit the profanity in the poem, and definitely nothing explicit.
